Nitte DST Technology Enabling Center has been an ecosystem partner with Society for Innovation and Enterprise (SINE), IIT Mumbai. Nitte DST TEC has been providing clinical connect to some of the Medtech startups incubating at IIT Mumbai. The clinicians at the KS Hegde Hospital at the KS Hegde Medical Academy (KSHEMA), Nitte, have provided clinical advice and support to Startups like Pacify Medical Technologies, Simutomy, Acuradyne and IQSOFT Technologies. Nitte DST TEC has also been supporting Startups to apply for Biotechnology Ignition Grants from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIG) with SINE as the partner to move up the technology readiness level. In this context, SINE invited DST TEC to participate in the HealthTech ConnectX organized at SINE on 15th April, 2026. Dr. Iddya Karunasagar represented Nitte DST TEC in the event, which consisted of Panel Discussions with key specialists from medical, engineering, pharmacy and other disciplines. During the Session “Perspectives from Clinicians, Medtech Professionals and Ecosystem partners”, Dr. Iddya Karunasagar introduced Nitte DST TEC and explained about clinical facilities that can be accessed through Nitte DST TEC. The event was attended by 36 Startups, about 40 experts from different disciplines from different parts of India.
